Casting a vote is the individual citizen's means of participation in the government of our great country, and it is that elected government which has the power to improve our lives and promote the general health and welfare of the United States of America. Thank you for taking this important step.

You can register to vote at most town or city halls, many libraries, post offices, and Department of Motor Vehicles offices. You can also register to vote online. Clicking on the link below will take you to the voter registration page of Rock the Vote.

"Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting."
- Franklin Roosevelt

This will be the most expensive election ever. Billions of dollars are being spent to capture the White House and take control of the Senate. When faced with the enormous spending by special interests and corporations unleashed by Citizens United (the Supreme Court decision allowing unlimited political spending by corporations and the rich), I take heart when I remember that even the one percent can cast only one vote, and corporations cannot vote at all. There are enough people to outvote those who seek to avoid paying their fair share and who want to shift all of the burdens of America onto the backs of the middle class.

"To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers. One who does not vote has no right to complain."
- Louis L'Amour
